http://italiandreams.wordpress.com/2009/05/09/ten-for-ten-campaign-for-chandi/

I started this blog when I was facing a divorce and heading back to my greatest love; Italy, in order to heal.

I imagined that Italy would somehow help ferry me to the other side of divorce, but I never imagined that I would almost die two days into my stay. (There are lots of stories on here about the craziness of 3-weeks in an Italian hospital.)

I would love to talk to others here about divorce and about Italy. I am wondering if the divorce will be what finally allows me to make the move to Italy that I have never quite done. I have lived there a few times but never with finality. I would love to hear from expats in Italy about making that final break.

This blog is also about sharing my process of learning how to live more deeply, and how to be more true to what my spirit really needs.

Since this blog is an ongoing story, you may want to read it from the beginning. (For those who don’t know, blog posts appear in reverse chronological order, meaning the latest post shows at the top.)

To read this story from the beginning, you may want to start with my post entitled: Emergency Surgery in Italy

Or use the Archive on the right sidebar, to proceed through the story.

Please feel free to share your thoughts on these topics!

I look forward to hearing from you!

    Hi Chan,
You go woman; it’s wonderful that you’ve compiled and arranged on your blog so many of the facets of your life that inspire and motivate you. I look forward to following your outer and inner Italian journey.
    Love,
    Sheila

  3. Interesting, well written blog you’ve got here. Since you’re telling a story where understanding one post depends on what comes before it, though, you might make it easier to navigate by having a link up at the top that says something like “start here,” or maybe give a summary here and there. Just a suggestion….

  4. Chandi Says:

    Hi YogaforCynics,
Thanks, that’s a good suggestion. I am just learning about how to organize and run a blog! I wonder if it makes sense to re-order the posts in this “story” so that the earlier ones show up first… Or if I did your idea of a “start here” link at the top wonder how I would insert it?

  5. Chandi Says:

Well, I have now done what YogaforCynics suggested. I have added on this page a notation that my blog is a story and I’ve added a link that will take readers to the “beginning”

    Feedback on this is welcome!

I found this book helpful in healing from my divorce. It’s called Forgiven and Forgiving (Paperback) by L. William Countryman (Author) “Forgiveness is a critical topic for our time-and a very difficult one…”You can find it at Amazon.

Best wishes in your healing and your travels. There will be joy, there will be dreams again. I have remarried to an amazing woman and we have traveled to Italy eight times. We plan on seeing if we can move there when she retires in 5 years.

  8. Chandi: You might want to read a blog that Evelyn Kaye wrote while going through her divorce. Her approach was different than yours, but no less difficult and traumatic–she had been married for 40 years! Write to her and ask her for the link–

I hope things are going well ! Rosemary
